New clinical cart supports care on the ward

Laureles Specialist Medicine has taken delivery of a new Ergotron StyleView Life Power Cart, supporting Dr Jowita Kozlowska’s work with patients at Noosa Hospital.

The cart was assembled onsite by Andrew Day, Territory Account Manager for Australia and New Zealand at Ergotron, who travelled to Noosa to set up the unit and provide an introduction to its features and day-to-day use.

The mobile powered workstation will help support ward-based care by allowing clinical information, documentation and review processes to be brought closer to the bedside. This is particularly useful in specialist general medicine, where patients often have complex medical histories, multiple medications, and care plans involving hospital teams, GPs, allied health professionals and families.

For Laureles Specialist Medicine, the cart forms part of a practical approach to improving efficiency, communication and continuity of care. Having a reliable mobile workstation available on the ward supports timely documentation, access to relevant clinical information, and smoother coordination between inpatient reviews and follow-up care.

Dr Kozlowska said the addition of the cart reflects the practice’s focus on thoughtful, well-organised physician care.

“Many of the patients I see in hospital have complex needs, and good communication is essential. This cart helps support a more efficient and organised workflow on the ward, which ultimately benefits patients and the teams involved in their care.”

Laureles Specialist Medicine thanks Andrew Day and Ergotron for their support in setting up the new cart and helping the practice become familiar with its use.
